Government Polytechnic, Sahinganj plays a vital role in creating top-tier experts and entrepreneurs who are prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industrial sector. It has made significant contributions to current technical education through the different diploma programmers approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and the State Government under the auspices of the Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi.

It meets all of the rules and requirements established by the AICTE, New Delhi and the Department of Higher and Technical Education in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Polytechnic was approved by AICTE in letter no. F. No. Eastern/2018/1-3700137560 dated April 30, 2018. As stated in its mission statement, the GP, Sahibganj has taken on the obligation of offering high-quality technical education that meets international standards and preparing students for vocational excellence.
